Hello world!

If you have subscribed for this newsteller you are probably a reader of my blog. Thank you! I really appreciate this. In the first message from my newsteller I want to share my plans about it and the site. Let me do that with a short story.

When I started my blog I had posts which covered things that I had done in the past and cost me some time to figure out. It felt off because they were not exactly worth reading unless you have got the same problem.

Then I decided I want to write about things which are sort of timeless and are worth reading. That’s when I wrote the SCTP posts (here and here). It was a nice mental exercise for me and the posts generated some interest so later I decided to convert them to a book.

After the book I wrote some posts about Crypto++ and Rust. Some of them were interesting, some of them were not. At that point I started realizing that a blog is not the best media for my needs. I want to write timeless content worth reading today, tomorrow, in a month, in a year. It’s hard to know in advance if a topic will be interesting or not and at the same time a good post takes a lot of time to write.

I think it will be nice to have something in between. I place where I can write shorter post about any topic I find relevant without worrying if it is good enough or not. That’s my plan for this newsteller. I staging place where I can share relevant thought/ideas/news in the field of networking and programming. If I decide to write about something bigger first I will publish it here in small batches and later if I decide it’s good enough I will rework it to a post. I don’t know yet how often I will write but I promise it won’t be more than once a week.

This mail is already getting longer than I wanted so I will wrap it up here. Thanks for reading! Feel free to hit reply and tell me what you think or just say hi.

Kind regards,
Tsvetomir
